I was playing with my toy car

But It didn't go that far

I took it up the hill

It went for a spill

Commitment

This Term (Term 4) we are focusing on commitment. 

The question is.. 

What does commitment mean to me?

For me commitment means committing to your sports and other things you have signed up for. Also Committing to the school rules for e.g wearing the school uniform with pride, Respect Peoples beliefs and cultures. When you sign up to something you have to commit to show the HHS value of Commitment. Commitment feels like try your best to achieve things.

 If you commit you can achieve. Which can make you better at things when you commitment you are also showing resilience by never giving up.

Commitment feels like being proud of yourself for sticking to something.

Little Robbie Riding Hood

Once upon a time there was a little boy name Robbie riding hood. He was at home sitting playing fortnite waiting for someone good to carry him to a win.

But that took a while. His mum bursted into the room.
She asked if Robbie could drop some medicine to dear Greg granny. Robbie said ‘I have to do everything”
Robbie's Mum said TOO BAD.

Bye the time they had finished the argument Robbie just did it. On the way to Greg granny
Robbie ran into to someone called wood chopper DEZ. Dez said hey Robbie off to grannies are ya. Robbie said yes. He walked on.

When he arrived at granny's there where footprints on the doormat how strange
Robbie thought to himself. He Walked into the room there greg granny was.
Greg granny look really hairy Robbie said.
Granny said she wasn't shaving because she was too sick to move.
Robbie said ok. Granny came up and asked Robbie
for a hug and he hugged her back and then he put him in the closet

Dear Cafe Staff.

I am writing this letter because I want you to know that I love your cafe food but I would also like to suggest some more food options for our new cafe.

At your cafe there are a lot of positives but here are my top three positives. When it is a cold day your cafe is really warm so we can sit in it. Your menu is really creative it is really different from our old menu. I really enjoy how you change the pizza toppings daily, which is very exciting for us. One of the best thing about your cafe it that there are a lot of seating options so it allows people to hang out with their friends and have fun.

It has also come to my attention that your menu is WAY too healthy for us kids. I still like how it is healthy but it would be nice for some treats. We hope you can add some sweet stuff. Like lollies, chocolate and more. For real food we could have pies, hot chips and burgers even if the burgers are healthy they would still be nice. Also you could consider selling, ice blocks for hot days or even frozen yogurt because that is also healthy and right now we are going onto spring and need things to cool us down.

I am suggesting that maybe we have some combos deals at our cafe. For example you could sell a pie, a cup of hot chips and a drink for 7 dollars, which I believe is not too expensive and would be very for filling. Maybe you could sell different combo options on different days. I think if we have more deals like that, then the cafe would earn more money. Which would be a bonus for all. If this happens I will be going to the cafe WAY more often than I am now. I still really like your cafe but just some little changes would make it better.

Here is my art work. This type of art is called lino cutting. I know it is hard to see the word but it says crocker. We had to make a piece of art that means a lot to us. I put Crocker because that is my nickname. I tried to make look like a crocodile. The hardest thing in this project is not getting frustrated from the blades because sometimes it doesn't go where you want it to. I really liked try this because it is something new. How Do Bees Make Honey

How do bees make honey?

First off what are bees? Bees are a small insect. They look black and yellow. There are different types of bees, there are around 200,00 species  of bees.

Bees make honey from visiting flowers and getting this juicy mixture called nectar. They suck the flowers with their tongues and take it back to the hive once they can hold as much as they can. They store the nectar in their stomach. This is kinda weird because we digest envy thing that goes into out stomach.

When they are back at the beehive they pass it mouth to mouth to the worker bees. The worker bees chew it for around 1 hour and 30 min. They keep on doing that until it is a thick mixture of honey. They store it into the honeycombs that is made out of a wax type thing.

So that's how bees make honey. They don't make very much of it, though. It takes at least eight bees all their life to make one single teaspoonful. Fortunately for us, they usually make more than they need, so we can have some, too.

Facts

After bees sting you they die.

A average lifespan of a bee is 28 days

There are between 80 million and 100 million bees left in the world

If bees die we won't get vegetables anymore and all the flowers will die because bees will not be able to pollinate the plants

What is matariki???

Matariki is a star. They call it the Maori new years so it happens once every year. It happens on the 15th of June every year. there are 6 stars there names are Waite, tupua-nuku, ururangia, wai-puna-a-rangi. some people think that Matariki is the mother of the other 5 stars.
