In the scene where K goes back to his apartment, the director uses lighting and setting effectively to really give more meaning to the scene. For example, when Joi goes on the balcony to see the rain, the lighting is really dark to make the scene more effective and to show that it’s night and the rain. The director did this to really put a lot of effect into the scene and put more meaning in the scene by adding these little effects
